Michelin Guide 2010 San Francisco

“Risibisi – Recommended Good Value”
The restaurant’s namesake, risi e bisi, a classic Venetian dish, changes daily and represents the deliciously rustic fare from a kitchen that never seems to miss a beat. Northern Italian recipes are interpreted with California freshness in the like of Tuscan ribollita soup with white beans, chard, and Caggiano sausage; and moist pan-roasted Fulton Farms chicken with mushrooms and four-cheese polenta.
The room is warm with exposed brick, burlap-like curtains, and stressed wood paneling, while colorful wooden chairs suspend whimsically from the ceiling. A small bar topped with alabaster sits beneath snowball-like fixtures in the back. Soothing eclectic music complements the colorful abstract paintings that line the sunny-hued walls.
